You cannot separate the voice from the person. Each voice is the unique expression of the individual personality. Our courses are designed to allow each individual to fully explore their own voice and to discover and develop their unique style of presentation. We encourage each participant to recognize any unhelpful physical or vocal habits that limit their ability to communicate with confidence and ease. You will learn techniques to improve the quality and tone of the voice and to develop greater flexibility, clarity and depth of connection with your audience.
Additionally, we will work on options for shaping your content for maximum impact, so you can achieve your potential. All of these techniques will be as we explored in a supportive environment with guided feedback. Our ZOOM class options will also cover techniques to improve online camera presentation.

DESCRIPTION:
Sharing your ideas with others can be challenging for some people.
Even those with experience may seek to improve the quality of their content for maximum impact, or to manage nervous tension. Whether it is for a work presentation, a sales pitch, a job interview, a wedding speech, an academic paper or for personal development - our courses will give you the specific tools that you need and a "safe" place to practice them.
In this practical interactive course, students will be given the techniques and opportunity to engage with their audience with confidence and poise, increase vocal resonance, manage nervous tension, and develop dynamic and memorable content. Guidance will be given on the use of notes and visual aids. Every class will include voice, breath, and physical techniques to improve clarity in speaking. Additionally, we will cover the specific techniques for On-Camera Zoom presentations.
Each week you can expect to prepare and deliver a small presentation (5 min). The focus each week will change, so that you have the option to create a new presentation each week, or to develop and refine one presentation. The third class will be held on ZOOM in order to practice online delivery.

Based on over a year of us working on creative projects on ZOOM (feature films, new plays, new media, and one-to-one coaching), we have found the MOST creative, interactive, engaging and inspiring way to work in SMALL groups.
There will be constant interaction and group engagement.
You must have a good steady connection to the internet, and a laptop or tablet device with a camera and microphone (smart phone alone will not suffice for this course) in order to participate in this class on ZOOM. It will also be important that you are in a quiet location where you can stand, move around and make noise!
This is a one-day Saturday Intensive workshop designed for those who wish to improve their ability to speak for personal or professional reasons. It is suitable for marketing presentations, new chairpersons, wedding speeches, board meetings, presenting academic papers, and anyone seeking to improve their communication skills.
You will learn specific preparation techniques to counter-act nervous tension, expand capacity for vocal expression, and practice techiques to command a room with ease. Additionally, you will receive tips for structuring presentations to create impactful content for business or personal presentations.
Participants for this workshop must come prepared to speak for approximately 5 minutes on the topic of their choosing. This can be a formal presentation of a pitch to investors, a thesis paper, event speech OR a more personal sharing on a topic such as "how to bake a great apple pie", or "my favorite holiday" or a working draft of a wedding speech. If you wish to have a Powerpoint or other digital portion of a presentation, please bring your own laptop for group viewing.
You will be able to view Video Playback of your prepared presentation and receive supportive guidance from the instructor. A workbook will be given to all participants to take with them for further development of the techniques covered.
