We are happy to share that our advanced level students, from the Adult Advanced Scene Study and the Advanced 6-Month Actor Training classes are working in all areas of the theatre, film and TV professions. Here of our recent success stories with a few examples of their work/awards.

John Connors

Actor/writer/activist

Starred as Patrick in TV series Love/Hate, starring in feature films Cardboard Gangsters, King of the Travelers, Stalker, Today, TV series Charlie and many more!

Awards: IFTA 2018 Winner for Best Actor in Leading Role -film and 2015 nominee for Best Actor in a Supporting Role in a Drama.

Fionn Walton

Played major roles in feature film What Richard Did,  and lead role in films Rhinos and Out of Here, Cardboard Gangsters, Darklands and more!. In theatre:  “Plough and the Star” as Jack in the National Theatre London, “Desire Under the Elms” with Corn Exchange, and “Juno and the Paycock” at the Bristol Old Vic.

Awards: IFTA 2018 nominated for Best Actor in a Supporting Role for Cardboard Gangsters.

Brian Gilligan

Playing Deco in “The Commitments” in London’s West End and featured lead in National Lottery ad campaign in television. Lead role of Guy in “Once” at the Olympia, Dublin. Principle role in “Assasin’s” in the Gate Theatre, and in “Jimmy’s Hall” in Abbey National Theatre, Dublin. Ongoing working actor.

Lynn Rafferty

Lead in new TV series “Taken Down”. Lead role of Nadine in TV series “Love/Hate”.  Lead in the film “Today”, principle roles in “Ripper Street”, “Breathe” and “Rebellion”, and more!

Charleigh Bailey

Acting on of the lead roles in “A Date for Mad Mary”   Awards: Winner of “Best Irish Feature” award in the Galway Film Fleadh 2016.

Tristan Heanue

Actor, Writer, Producer, Director

Winner “Best Actor” at the Underground Cinema awards 2014, for his role in “In this Place”, also in “A Day Like Today” and “Skunky Dog”. Winner “Best First Short Drama” at Galway Film Fleadh 2015 as Director/Writer. Also wrote/directed short film “Today” in multiple festivals.  Featured lead actor in Darklands, Fair City, Taken Down. Vikings, and Cardboard Gangsters among others.

Awards:  (in addition to above) Winner of  Grand Prix in the Oscar qualifying Cork Film Festival for his film “Cúinas”.

Brendan Sheehan

Multiple film roles: This is My Son,Thank You Come Again, The Ripple effect, Shoebox Memories, Eden, Garda Series, The Immigrant, I’m GAA,  and “The Saviour of Dublin City ” in Galway Film Fleadh 2016, among others.

Shane Coules

Writer of feature film “A Day LikeToday” in Galway Film Fleadh 2015.

Emmet Kelly

Burning House Productions, Actor, Writer, Producer

Winner “Best Actor” at Einhoven’s Film Festival for film “Lost Memories”. Winner “Best Male Actor” in Richard Harris International Film Festival. Winner “Best Actor” and “Best Irish Short Film” for “Lost Memories”.

Matthew Darragh

Actor, Writer, Director

IFTA 2015 nominated for his animated film Ode to Love with Brown Bag Films.

Robbie Walsh

Played featured lead role in Love/Hate and Between the Canals, director/writer for the film Eden, actor/producer feature film S.P.L.I.T, The Letters, and several other films.

Grace Dyas

Nominated for Best Director for the 2015 Irish Times Theatre Awards for her production of the THEATREclub production of The Game.

Kathy Monaghan

Playing lead role in lead role in “Dublin Murders”, lead role of Eva Tully in Red Rock, lead role in academy nominated award winning Irish feature film “Detainment”,  and lead in Irish Rail ad campaign.

David McGowan

Lead actor in film “The Struggle of Libations” – Palm Springs International Film Festival.

Erin Mullally
