With the Spring upon us, it may be time to make choices that will guide you to your full creative potential. Flying Turtle Productions had a dynamic year last year, with our expanded central Dublin studio, new Screenwriting and Improvisation course options and new Artist-Facilitators on the team.

Actor Training 2015 Midsummer Night’s Dream

Additionally, there was an increase in our number of  Theatre Productions in 2015, with 9 original youth drama productions, one original adult production, several acting classes performance evenings, and additional independent theatre productions. Our Public Speaking for Non-Actors courses and Customized Corporate Training brought key insights to those seeking to improve presentation skills. We have options for all ages and levels of experience! See our options in Adult Courses and Youth Drama.

OUR PRODUCTIONS
We moved beyond the student theatre presentations last year, and had several public performance opportunities for our advanced studio trained actors beyond the courses. We had massive crowds and had to turn people away from our site-specific production of “Culture Night Noir” – an interactive performance in the style of Film Noir with 12 actors, and 8 performances on Dublin’s Culture Night in September 2015. (You Tube video of this being edited now!) Then in the holiday season, our actors improvised as characters from the “Mad Men” TV series in the Linked-In Christmas party held at the Royal Hospital Kilmainham (a paid performance gig!). To end the year, as a charitable contribution, a handful of selected actors played “certain well known Christmas characters” for the LauraLynn Children’s Hospice. We see many of our former students flourishing in the theatre and film business, and will be heading into more film and theatre production in the near future. For those in the film profession, I also work as a Directing Actors for Film Specialist and was very busy this past year consulting on various film projects.
