INTERNATIONAL GUEST ARTIST INTENSIVE
GUEST ARTIST: Vladimir Bouchler
3-DAY INTENSIVE ON ANTON CHEKHOV’S Three Sisters.
NOVEMBER 3rd, 4th, & 5th, 2014.
(COMPLETED in 2014 – To inquire about upcoming guest workshops click here to: “Contact Us”)
Flying Turtle Productions is delighted to announce the first in a series of international guest artists as supported by the E & C Association and Artists in Education organization of Luxembourg.
For the first time in Ireland, Vladimir Bouchler, world renowned director and teacher who trained with the Ostrovsky Theatre School and Moscow Shukin Theatre School (Third Moscow Art Studio), will be in Dublin to do a 3-day practical workshop for actors on Anton Chekov’s play The Three Sisters. If you are seeking methods to make your work more engaging, dynamic, immediate, creative and emotionally charged – this is the work that you should be doing.
This is a rare opportunity to practice the techniques initiated by Stanislavski and Vakhtangov, focused around the work of playwright Anton Chekov. Vladimer Bouchler, is currently the head of the acting department of MTHS Oslo (Norwegian College of Drama and Musical Theatre), a guest artist at the Bristol Old Vic, and works as an independent director worldwide. In the 3-day workshop he will develop the participants’ scenes through a continuing series of exercises and improvisations designed to reveal the essence of the character, his/her true motivation, through action, super objective, manner of game and rhythm of existence. (See more details on Vladimer below and the more information on the workshop content and required preparation is available upon inquiry.)
The admission by application is CLOSING SOON and only 15 actor participants will be accepted. ONLY A FEW SPACES LEFT!
There is also an opportunity to participate as an “observer-only” for a minimal fee of €10 per 4 hour session.
Please see details below regarding dates, fees, course content, course preparation and application process.
All actors must know the play “The Three Sisters” and will be assigned specific scenes to prepare in advance of the workshop.
